Do you know how the H-2A or the H-2B visa program works?

The H-2A Visa Program or type allows US employers or agents who meet specific regulatory requirements to bring aliens to the United States for the purpose of filling temporary employment positions in agriculture.

The H-2B Program allows US employers or employment agents who meet specific regulatory requirements to bring aliens to the United States to temporarily fill non-agricultural employment.

REQUIREMENTS:

▪The fundamental requirement is that the employee must be from one of the countries authorized by the United States Government.
▪The employee must show the intention to return to the country of origin.
▪The applicant must have a current and valid passport.
▪The applicant must be selected or sponsored by a company.

After meeting these requirements, it is the company that makes the request to take the employee to work in the United States.
